Senior Vice President, Operations and Finance
Betsy Alvarez has been part of the CCM Puerto Rico team since 1998 and currently serves as Senior Vice President of Operations and Finance. Betsy oversees the Accounting, Construction, Finance, Management Information Systems and Human Resource divisions of CCM Puerto Rico. She also actively participates in special projects and committees formed to maximize company productivity.
Betsy brings extensive expertise in all aspects of financial analysis reporting, auditing, taxes, management advisory, accounting, and software system consulting. Prior to joining CCM, Betsy worked for one of the largest local CPA firms, where she performed audits across different industries, including real estate. She served as Vice President and Manager at the Internal Audit Department of The Government Development Bank for Puerto Rico, where she focused on investments, local government, federal funds, as well as compliance audits for federal programs.
She spent seven years as a consultant across various industries performing evaluation and implementation of accounting systems, management consulting services, auditing and information system trainings. She has deep expertise in developing, training and implementing information systems and standardized policies and procedures for Finance, Human Resource and Operations Departments.
Betsy holds a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Administration from the Metropolitan University of PR and a BSBA with a concentration in Accounting from the University of Puerto Rico. A licensed CPA , she is a member of the Puerto Rico Society of CPAs, the American Institute of CPAs, the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and the Self Storage Association (SSA).
