Vice President, Construction
Salvador Yapur joined CCM Puerto Rico in January 2009 and currently serves as the Vice President of Construction. Salvador oversees construction project development for the company and is responsible for the direct supervision of the major project teams, including the Architect, the project Inspector and the General Contractors, and for ensuring project quality. Salvador works closely with the Vice President of Operations and various property managers on the successful deployment of capital improvement projects throughout CCM Puerto Rico’s commercial centers. He is a member of the Operations Committee and the Executive Committee at the firm.
In the past five years, Salvador has also implemented various energy savings projects, including lighting retrofits, AC system upgrades, and the installation of solar photovoltaic systems. Salvador successfully leveraged state and local government incentive programs, including the federal government ARRA and Green Energy funds, to enable various energy efficiency measures across the CCM PR real estate portfolio.
Prior to joining CCM Puerto Rico, Salvador spent 15 years in the engineering and construction industry developing residential and infrastructure projects. In residential project development, Salvador successfully managed teams of subcontractors and self-performing-employees to develop the sites, utilities, driveways, reinforced concrete structures, electrical, plumbing and special finishes work on multiple 150-200 housing units projects. At the project infrastructure level, Salvador managed teams of five to 10 Engineers in charge of quality assurance for various water pump station, water filtration plant, pipeline installation, and highway projects.
Salvador holds a Bachelor’s Degree of Civil Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico. He has been a member of the Puerto Rico Association of Engineers and Surveyors since 1995 and is a registered Licensed Engineer in the Commonwealth of PR.
